A sumptuous domain in the Quercy

Ref. 333
Lot (46)
A sumptuous domain in the Quercy

Lying in green undulating valley with trees, a superb property between  the town of Cahors and Montcuq.

A few kilometers from the active and touristic town of Montcuq the property stands proudly on the side of the gentle slopes of a hill. The formal entrance lined with cyprus trees sets the tone: a magnificent variety of roof tops from the outbuildings. There is the guardian or guest house unfinished but structurally sound followed in line by the hangar, grange, stables etc.
To the left stands the old Mansion House. The property has been totally renovated with incredibly good taste. All the historic parts of the building have been kept and shown to their advantage as for example the entrance door, the stone staircase, the upstairs wooden floors and the fireplace in the small drawing room. Other antiques have been added by craftsmen such as: ‘tomettes tiles on the ground floor, certain beams, the big fireplace in the living room, the kitchen furniture taken from a monastery, the copper bath, etc.. The timbers in the attic have been doubled and the attic space could be furnished.
There is an interior lift, under floor heating downstairs, double glazing etc..The garden outside has also been well thought through. The long swimming pool surrounded by olive trees give the garden a charming Italian style character. The 1.5ha of surrounding grounds assure one absolute peace and tranquility with its ancient trees and flowers. The remaining land consists of woods and land rented out for farming.

Our Opinion

Grand property harmonic and light. The outbuildings give you the possibility to create a project.
