The hand made dresser, curved corner units, pantry, sink unit with ceramic double gamekeepers sink are paint finish in cream with solid chestnut worktops.  The centre island is all in chestnut with black granite insets a 2 ring gas hob and small sink, the dishwasher and multiple storage space all sit beneath.

The ‘Falcon’ range cooker (5 gas hob & 2 large electric ovens) and Leibherr double fridge/Freezer reflect the quality of the kitchen. A small table & chairs fit easily into this space for breakfast. TV and telephone points.

Double doors lead into the dining room and single door to the Sitting Room this is a cosy room in creams and aubergine currently used as a Winter Snug with chandelier, huge fireplace with new wood burning stove, original floor, large window, TV point and doors to the ‘Cave’, small office and the Study; a flag stone floor graces this room, currently used as the study with heavy wooden double doors leading out to the courtyard and the inner lobby and cloakroom.

Dining Room
Through the folding double doors from the kitchen the large dining room decorated in gold and red has double overhead lights (with dimmer switch) stone floor, a magnificent full height dresser and large mahogany dining/snooker table, marble fireplace, window overlooking the front garden (east) and original panelled doors to the Hallway: The main entrance through a further set of heavy double doors leads you from the front terrace and gardens into the entrance hall, decorated in pale dove grey & white with beautiful chandeliers here and on the landing. The elegant staircase sweeping up to the first floor and large window overlooking the courtyard and fountain. Under stair storage is found in concealed cupboards in the curve of the walls. Morning Room
A very elegant room flooded with light from 2 full length French Doors onto the terrace (south) and a further window overlooking the formal rose garden giving colour and scent. This room has been recently wood panelled throughout. It has a high ceiling, marble fireplace with wood burning stove and the original stone floor. Secret doors lead in to storage space on one side and into the ‘Studio Suite’ (Madeleine) on the other. TV & Telephone points

Studio Suite –‘Madeleine’ (bed 6)
A bijou self contained suite on the ground floor decorated in sage green & cream with fitted kitchen, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, sink and storage and a partial wet room with shower, basin and WC all set within the circular tower in the south wing of the main house. Butlers Room
Between the Study and WC the butler’s room houses the Gas Central Heating Boiler, Hot Water Cylinder and Main Electrics Panel. There is a small window here to the courtyard.

First Floor

Master Suite (Gabriella)
This is a spacious and elegant suite in palest creams, apricot and apple green with the original wooden floors. The magnificent mahogany French Bed takes centre stage here (not included) with selected antique pieces to create a sumptuous master bedroom. Bright sunlight floods into this room from 2 large windows to the south and a third from the south east. 2 concealed doors offer storage space. Bell pulls have survived the passing of time and will still ring in the hallway. The En-Suite Bathroom is fitted with a luxurious ‘Victoria & Albert’ 2 person slipper bath with V&A up- stand taps, a double basin sink unit, WC and heated towel rail. The Dressing Room has hand made wardrobes and lots of storage on both sides and a window overlooking the morning terrace (south)  this room leads into the unique ‘Wet-room’ built into the circular tower. This is fully tiled in the palest green and white with a cobbled stone floor, freestanding shower and heated towel rail in the entrance. ‘Charlotte’ – Bedroom 5
A very pretty room in cream & Aubergine with loads of storage space in concealed cupboards leaving the room clear for feature pieces of furniture, overhead lighting and a large window overlooking the box hedging and gardens to the front.

‘Amelie’ – Bedroom 4
In claret & cream this large bedroom comfortably accommodates a double and single bedroom setting with space for a wardrobe and large dressing table. It also has one of the many marble fireplaces and bell pulls found in this house. The large window has views across the formal gardens to the valley beyond.

Bathroom
Decorated to compliment the ‘Amelie’ Bedroom opposite in claret & cream this full bathroom has an original ball & claw foot cast bath and up-stand taps standing in front of part panelled walls. The double shower cubicle has a feature glass brick wall allowing light into the shower, white pedestal wash hand basin and a separate WC, both rooms have windows overlooking the courtyard and fountain.

The Original staircase rises from this room to the enormous loft space.
 
Thai Suite – Bedroom 2
This large room has a black & white marble fireplace which inspired its theming; black textured wallpaper and paint work compliment the burnt sienna walls and original wooden floors. Sumptuous interlined silk drapes (not included) add to the glamour of this themed room with recessed wardrobe and large window overlooking the pond garden. Through a door to the En-Suite Bathroom which is as elegant as it is dramatic. Top quality bathroom furniture also appear here with a stunning ‘Victoria & Albert’ double cast 2 person bath with up-stand taps concealed spots and elegant black granite walls take centre stage in this room. Either side of the bath are the ‘cube’ WC in its own granite walled cubicle and the ‘cube’ wash hand basin is on the other in a similar setting. A floral chaise- longue (not included) finishes the room along with more silk drapes dressing the window to the gardens.

Africa – Bedroom 3
Another large suite offering spacious accommodation for a 4 poster bed (not included) and large free standing furniture (not included) hardly fill the room, a large window and a concealed door through to the En-Suite Shower Room with view across the courtyard. Both rooms are decorated in a calming palest yellow/cream with chocolate. The wooden floor in the bedroom is original and the bathroom floor is tiled throughout. A shower cubicle, WC and corner basin finish this room with its African floor & wall tiles.

Access to the Apartment’ in the west wing can be made through this room.

The Apartment
Spanning across the whole of the first floor of the smaller wing of the property is the apartment. This has its own private driveway and access to its private gardens and front door although it can be easily joined with the main house through a double door between the Africa Suite in the main house and the apartments second bathroom.

Entering through the original front door from a small paved terrace and double iron gates brings you into the main living area of the apartment with wooden floors and original beamed ceilings and stone walls throughout. Completely self contained it has a contemporary fitted and free standing kitchen with oven, hob, sink fridge etc set under another original staircase leading to the loft space. The spacious sitting room has 2 windows overlooking the courtyard to the south and a third to the rear of this wing to the north. There is a chimney breast and wood burning stove and full gas fired central heating. (Independent supply) There is plenty of space in this large room to also accommodate a dining suite, sofa’s and chairs.

A small inner hallway leads down to the 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is light and spacious, all of the décor is blues and white and this room has a 4 poster bed and plenty of space for freestanding wardrobes etc. The large window overlooks the courtyard. The En-suite Bathroom has a cast bath, feature glass wash hand basin WC and fitted storage cupboard with a further large window – south facing.

Bedroom 2 (Apartment)
Painted wooden floor, large window to the courtyard below and pretty beamed ceilings add elegance to this room and the Shower Room  is just a few steps down the landing with a good sized glass cubicle shower with a tropical rainforest shower, corner wash hand basin and further WC.

This apartment has been successfully rented out as a private space with its own patio, garden, driveway and gated access. It also has its own gas supply and telephone line.
